Our Copyright Policy

We understand and want to protect copyright holders rights, and therefore we do not encourage, post or allow other people to post content to which they or UnderGuys.com do not hold the copyright and give permission for us to post on our site.

Unfortunately due to the lack of staff and large quantity of posts we receive each day it is impossible to moderate every single post. However staff do look through content on our sites and if we see any copyright infringements we will ensure the content is removed immediately.

It is also important that we make clear members can not upload illegal copyrighted files such as music, movies, images to our server directly, and that if a member does post copyrighted material it will more than likely be uploaded to an external server such as RapidShare. However we do not condone this, and again if we see any members doing this the copyrighted content will be removed.

It is very hard for our staff to tell if an uploaded signature, avatar, image actually does break any copyright, however these will of course be removed immediately if requested to do so by any copyright holder.

Legal Noticing
Part of the terms and conditions of our members signing up to our site(s), and therefore giving them the opportunity to post, have entered into a legal agreement that they take full responsibility for any copyright infringement and laws broken. They also agree that they will not post any copyrighted content. UnderGuys will do our bit to ensure copyright infringements do not happen, however in the case it is posted, UnderGuys can not be held legally responsible for it. However, we understand that WE ARE RESPONSIBLE for ensuring the content is removed as soon as it is brought to our attention.

UnderGuys and it's owner(s) can not be held liable for what other people do. We remain this view and in the case of court action, we will firmly stick to this argument. We want to work with copyright holders and remove and keep copyright theft to an absolute minimum.

I also want to clarify that we DO NOT own or run any "WAREZ" forums. This is not just a notice we put up to try and protect ourselves, but is actually something we take very seriously. We want to promote other company's and people, not give away their content without their permission. We really do and always will make every effort to stop copyright theft. If you look on our forums, they are full with free gallery's, affiliated links and content that either members of the public have made themselves or company's have posted themselves as advertisement to their site.

Your agreement
Once you visit ANY page on our network, you agree that we can not be held liable for any copyright infringement laws. You agree that you understand we do not have a database of every piece of media on the planet and their copyright holders. You understand we do not want to publish copyrighted content and you agree you will work with us rather than against us to take down any copyrighted media. We will work with you and in return you will not take further action with us so long as we work with you.
